On 2 June, BioData.pt | ELIXIR Portugal Node Coordinator Luciana Peixoto presented the outcomes of the Industry Engagement Day at the ELIXIR Impact Meeting. This presentation brings the results of one of the most active sessions of the 3rd Microbiome PT Summit to a broader audience within the ELIXIR community.
The Industry Engagement Day, held as part of the 3rd Microbiome PT Summit, was organised and facilitated by BioData.pt | ELIXIR Portugal and brought together 32 industry participants. The industry representation spanned a diverse range of organisations: 13 SMEs, 12 large enterprises, 7 start-ups, and 2 non-for-profit organisations, a strong signal of the growing interest from the private sector in the microbiome research landscape.
The presentation at the ELIXIR Impact Meeting offered an opportunity to share not only the key outputs and discussions that emerged from the day, but also the model through which the event was structured and guided, reflecting BioData.pt | ELIXIR Portugal's role in bridging the research infrastructure with industry stakeholders.
